When possible, bring overwhelming numbers of troops in order to keep your losses at a minimum. When Rallying against enemy Chiefs, you'll want to recon their Settlement and note the number and types of troops they have garrisoned (7, below). This is super-handy to know when you're wanting to double-up on your Rallies or are wanting to use some troops for Intel missions while you're rallying, etc. Here you can see at a glance who has created the Rally (3), who is attending the Rally (4), who the Rally is against (5), and whether or not someone from their Alliance is reinforcing their Settlement (6).Įach Rally against Infected Fiends will give you the recommended troop power necessary for a successful Rally. Tapping or clicking on either notification will bring you to the Rallies page. Once a Rally is launched, a notification appears both under the 'Alliance' button (1) on the bottom of the screen and to the right, with a timer (2). The reverse is also true, you must leave yourself enough time to march to the Rally owner's Settlement before their Launch Timer expires. All troops must be able to reach your Settlement before the Launch Timer expires, or they will not be able to participate in your Rally. However, if you are having difficulties finding Alliance members to participate, or you are spread out geographically throughout the State, setting this to a longer limit may be necessary. If you are in an active Alliance and are located nearby within Alliance territory, setting this timer to 5 minutes is sufficient. Favouring one type of troop can be extremely risky and result in a loss of troops and a failed Rally. When selecting troops for your Rally, it's important that you have a balance of troops infantry, hunters and riders. Then, choose which Heroes you'd like to attend your Rally and then choose your troops. You can set the recruitment times to: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 60 minutes. This gives Chiefs in your Alliance time to march Troops to your Settlement before the start of the Rally. The Launch Timer determines when your Rally will start. Next, you'll be asked to set a Launch Timer. To initiate a rally, in the case of attacking enemy Chiefs you simply click on their Settlement and choose the 'Rally' icon at the top of the radial menu.

As is always the case when attacking a strongly defended position, the number of troops to be successful is quite a bit higher than it would be otherwise. When rallying against an enemy Chief, you not only have to contend with their troops, but also the defences of their Settlement. Rallies against Infected Fiends cost regular Chief stamina and rewards will be given according to the amount of damage dealt. Troops attacking an Infected Fiend will only be lightly wounded, so there's no risk of losing troops should the Fiend prove too strong for your Rally. Fiends are more powerful than regular Infected and Chiefs must join forces in a Rally in order to take them down. When rallying against the AI, you'll be going up against Infected Fiends, which randomly spawn in the wild. Using the Rally system essentially allows you to 'borrow' friendly troops to throw into the fray. It allows multiple Chiefs to join forces and take down swarms of rotting freaks or overwhelm the defences of enemy Chiefs. Rallying in State of Survival is one of the most important aspects of the game.
